Some other restaurants that are local we enjoyed are the following (not in priority order).  These are very local not fancy at all.  I am sure you may find some others we haven’t explored yet.  

  1. Countryside Café – south of Waianae good place to stop for breakfast if you are going to Waikiki early or to Honolulu
  2. Spinners Café – 1.2 mile walk from the house.  Great Loco Moco breakfast (a lot of food so you could share)
  3. Hannara Restaurant – Family restaurant with excellent local food in HUGE portions
  4. Barbecue Kai – best french fries I have eaten (had a great cheese burger and fries) 
  5. L&L BBQ - local food to go
  6. Ma Luna’s – Filipino restaurant – great food!
  7. Saito & Pho – if you are craving Vietnamese food, this is the closest
